Garlic Butter Steak Bites

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1½ pound sirloin steak (cut into bite-size pieces, or strip loin, tenderloin, strip steak, or rib eye)

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

  • 3 tablespoons butter (unsalted)

  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)

  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes

  • 1/2 red onion finely sliced

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tablespoon parsley (fresh, chopped)

Preparation

  1. Season the steak generously with salt and pepper.

  2. Add the olive oil to a large skillet and heat it over high heat. Make sure the olive oil is hot, then add the steak pieces to it.

  3. Turn the steak to get a sear on each side and then remove to a plate once they are golden brown.

  4. If your skillet isn’t big enough, you may need to do this in batches.

  5. In the same skillet add the butter. Turn the heat down to medium.

  6. After the butter has melted, add the garlic, onion, and red pepper flakes.

  7. Cook for about 30 seconds while stirring until the garlic becomes aromatic and starts to brown.

  8. Add the steak back to the pan with the Worcestershire sauce, toss well, and cook for about 30 seconds more,

  9. Garnish with parsley.

  10. Serve over classic or garlic mashed potatoes.
