Chinese & Cajun Fusion Chicken Wings
Ingredients
12 Chicken wingettes
1 can original coke
3 teaspoons light soy sauce
1 teaspoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon cajun seasoning
1 teaspoon rice wine
1 thumb ginger cut into sticks
1 scallion sliced
1 large egg
Neutral cooking oil
Preparation
Make 3 shallow cuts across each side of chicken wingettes and place in shallow dish.
Pour coke over wings and let it soak for 30 minutes.
Add the light soy souce, cooking wine,oyster sauce, ginger, scallion, and cajun seasoning.
Toss and let stand 15 minutes.
Remove wings to seperate bowl and add a bit of the sauce (minus the ginger and scallion).
Add egg and toss.
Add cornstarch and toss to coat. Add a bit more cornstarch if needed.
Heat oil in skillet and pan fry wings on each side until golden and chispy.
