Asian Fried Dumpling Salad

This is a great Asian salad and you can eat it hot or cold. It is a quick and delicious recipe. If serving cold, sliced cucumber is a nice addition.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag of frozen dumplings

  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 4 tablespoons vinegar (apple or rice)

  • 4 tablespoons chilli oil

  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoons ginger, minced

  • 8 oz mixed cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 1 bunch of scallions (greens only)

  • 1 small bunch of cilantro, chopped

  • 1 cucumber, sliced (optional)

  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

Preparation

  1. Mix soy sauce, vinegar, chili oil, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, and ginger in a small bowl. Slice the scallions lengthwise and add to cold water with the coriander.

  2. Fry the dumplings in a bit of oil until golden brown, add ¼ cup of water, and steam with a lid for 5 minutes.

  3. Add tomatoes, dumplings, greens, and sesame seeds to a large bowl. Toss with the sauce!
